MOST GARDEN FURNITURE IS MADE TO BE REPLACED

Most outdoor chairs look fine in a showroom but feel uncomfortable after 20 minutes. So you end up going back inside. Then, within three seasons, the joints loosen, the material wears out, and you’re replacing them all over again.

Sound familiar? You're not alone. It's how most outdoor furniture is designed - to be replaced.

The Nordwood difference

Amata Nordwood Adirondack Double Chair is shaped for how people actually sit outside — together. Reclined backrests, contoured seats, wide armrests, and a built-in side table between you for coffee, a book, or a phone. Crafted from Northern European pine with stainless steel fixings, it's built to stay solid for decades, not seasons.

One chair. Built for two. Stays in your garden for life.

Where Scandinavian Craftsmanship Meets Outdoor Comfort

SIT FOR TWO HOURS WITHOUT GETTING UP

The reclined backrest and contoured seat take the pressure off your lower back. The built-in side table means your coffee stays hot and your book stays open — no reason to leave your seat.

BUILT TO LAST FOR YEARS

Made from water-based oil-treated pine with stainless steel fixings that resist rust and help keep the chair stable season after season.

SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE WHO MATTERS

Wide enough for two adults. Close enough to actually talk. The side table sits between you — not in the way.

UP AND ASSEMBLED IN UNDER AN HOUR

Pre-drilled holes, labeled parts, and instructions that actually make sense. If you've assembled flat-pack furniture before, this is easier.

101 LBS. STAYS PUT IN WIND

Solid pine is heavy. That's not a flaw — it's the point. Plastic chairs tip over. This one doesn't move unless you move it.

2-YEAR WARRANTY. NO RUNAROUND

24 months on the frame and fixings.

Elevate Your Garden Into a Living Space

YOUR GARDEN LAWN

Place it in the open lawn and watch it become the spot everyone gravitates to. Wide enough for two, generous enough to feel like a destination.

PATIO & DECK

The classic Adirondack silhouette looks as good on a timber deck as it does on stone. The built-in side table holds two coffees, a bottle of wine, or whatever the afternoon calls for.

BESIDE YOUR GREENHOUSE

Pair it with your greenhouse for a complete outdoor living space. The natural pine finish complements every garden structure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does assembly take?

Most people are done in 45 minutes to an hour. Pre-drilled holes. Labeled parts. One tool included. Customers in their 60s and 70s have built it completely solo. If you've done flat-pack before, this is easier. Printed instructions included — download them before your order arrives if you want a head start.

DOES IT COME WITH THE SIDE TABLE INCLUDED?

Yes — the side table is built into the chair. It's one piece, not an add-on. No extra purchase, no separate assembly.

IS IT COMFORTABLE FOR LARGER PEOPLE?

The seat and armrests are generously sized — this is a wide, substantial chair, not a dainty garden seat. At 67.7 inches wide across two seats, there's real room for two adults to sit comfortably without feeling crowded.

WILL IT ACTUALLY HOLD UP OUTSIDE YEAR-ROUND?

Yes. Apply a water-based preservative every two years. Re-tighten the bolts occasionally. That's it. Backed by a 5-year warranty. If it fails, we fix it.

WHY IS THIS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HOME DEPOT OR WAYFAIR?

The wood, the fixings, and how it's made. Solid Northern European pine, stainless steel hardware, built the same way since 1992. You're not paying for a brand markup. You're buying a chair you won't replace in three years.

WHAT IF A PART GOES MISSING OR BREAKS?

Email us your order number and a photo of the part. We ship replacements. We designed this chair to last decades — we're not going to let a missing screw end that.

IS SOLID PINE ACTUALLY BETTER THAN POLYWOOD?

Depends what you care about. Polywood needs less maintenance. But solid pine is warmer to the touch, refinishable, fully biodegradable, and gains character as it ages. Polywood stays the same. Plastic fades and yellows. Pine improves.
