Gustavs and his father outside a Nordwood at golden hour

About us

We built the greenhouse
nobody else would build

A greenhouse worth putting at the front of your garden, not the back of it. Nordic spruce and real glass, shipped as a kit, for a fraction of what a custom builder charges.

How it all started for us

The first one we built wasn't for sale

Gustavs built his first greenhouse with his father. The plastic and metal kind that comes in a box, and the two of them spent a weekend getting it square. He was proud of it. Building something with his father is the memory that stayed with him.

It was built for growing, and that's what they used it for. Tomatoes every summer for years. It stood at the back of the garden, doing its job, the way that kind of greenhouse does.

Years later he went looking for one of his own, and there were two things he could buy. The first was the greenhouse he already knew. Polycarbonate, made to grow things and nothing else, and it looks out of place in a garden anyone has put real work into. The second was a custom build, drawn up and put together on site. Those are beautiful. They also run to around $100,000, and it's months before you get to stand in one.

Nobody was making the one in between.

Our greenhouses are known for

amazing Wind and snow protection Rated to 115 mph winds and 3 ft+ of settled snow, on a roof pitched to shed most of it first.
super Strong frame Built from pressure-treated Nordic spruce. The treatment keeps rot and mold out of the wood.
hail proof glass 4mm tempered glass that shrugs off hail. We tested it on camera with a baseball.
Solid warranty 5-year limited warranty on the frame and every glass panel.

The people who own them

We've met a lot of them in person.

Almost every owner says a version of the same thing: it's better in person than it looked online. That's the part we can't show you properly. What we can tell you is what happens next. The neighbours come over. Friends ask to be photographed in it. Someone in the family who has never grown anything ends up with their own bench in the corner.

By the end of the first season it's usually doing two jobs at once, full of what they're growing and full of people, and it's the first thing anyone gets shown when they visit.

We keep turning up in person

Different state, different garden, same reason for going. We want to see one standing a season after it went up, and hear what the owner makes of it.
