What Makes Nordwood Different
A Room That Earns Its Place
Not a nice-to-have at the bottom of the garden. A space with a purpose - whatever that purpose is for you.
Built for the Weather You Actually Have
3½" solid walls. Toughened glass. Tongue-and-groove roof boards. Treated foundation beams. The kind of construction that holds up after five winters, not just one.
Customize It to Your Property
Reversible layout. Unfinished timber that takes any treatment or paint. It works with your garden, not against it.
One Room. A Hundred Ways to Use It
NOT ALL GARDEN HOUSES ARE BUILT THE SAME
Why most garden rooms disappoint
Most garden rooms go up fast and cost less upfront. Then winter comes. Gaps appear. Heat escapes. After a couple of years, you're looking at repairs - or replacement.
The Nordwood Garden House uses solid 3½" Nordic spruce walls. Same construction logic as a proper timber home. The difference isn't visible on day one. It's obvious by year three.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS
Solid timber walls
3½" Nordic spruce. Real insulation, real structure - not thin cladding.
Built for freeze-thaw cycles
Toughened glass, treated beams, interlocking roof boards. No warping, no gaps.
Light as a design principle
16 windows and two double doors. That's why the space feels the way it does.
Scandinavian engineering
Designed in the Nordics, where outdoor structures are expected to survive winter, not just look good before it.
Warranty included
5-year structural warranty - because we're confident in how Nordwood is made.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it need a lot of maintenance?
Treat it properly upfront and Nordic spruce performs for years with minimal care. The aluminium frames and toughened glass need almost nothing.
Is it usable in winter?
Yes. 3½" walls give you real insulation. Add a small heater or wood burner and it's comfortable year-round.
Do I need planning permission?
Often not - at ~10'4" tall and 158 sq ft it's designed to fall within permitted development rules in most areas. Always verify locally before you install.
Is it hard to assemble?
No. Pre-cut parts, all hardware, clear manual. DIY-friendly. Having a second person for certain stages makes it easier - but you don't need to be a contractor.
