Most outdoor chairs are built to be replaced

Most outdoor chairs look fine in a showroom but feel uncomfortable after 20 minutes. So you end up going back inside. Then, within three seasons, the joints loosen, the material wears out, and you’re replacing them all over again.

Sound familiar? You're not alone. It's how most outdoor furniture is designed - to be replaced.

The Nordwood difference

AMATA Nordwood Adirondack Chair is shaped for how people actually sit outside - reclined backrest, contoured seat, wide armrests built for a full afternoon. Crafted from Northern European pine with stainless steel fixings, it's built to stay solid for decades, not seasons.

One chair. Built once. Stays in your garden for life.

Where Scandinavian Craftsmanship Meets Outdoor Comfort

BUILT TO LAST FOR YEARS

Made from water-based oil-treated pine with stainless steel fixings that resist rust and help keep the chair stable season after season.

FITS ANYWHERE IN YOUR GARDEN

Classic Adirondack design that works on a patio, beside a greenhouse, or in an open lawn.

UP AND ASSEMBLED IN UNDER AN HOUR

Pre-drilled holes, labeled parts, and instructions that actually make sense. If you've assembled flat-pack furniture before, this is easier.

101 LBS. BUILT TO STAY PUT

Solid pine gives this chair real weight and stability. While lightweight plastic chairs can shift or tip in the wind, this one stays where you place it.

YOUR GARDEN LAWN

PATIO & DECK

The classic Adirondack silhouette looks as good on a timber deck as it does on stone. Built-in wide armrests hold your morning coffee steady.

BESIDE YOUR GREENHOUSE

Pair it with your greenhouse for a complete outdoor living space. The natural pine finish complements every garden structure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does assembly take?

Most people are done in under an hour. Pre-drilled holes. Labeled parts. One tool included. Customers in their 60s and 70s have built it completely solo. If you've done flat-pack before, this is easier. Printed instructions included - download them before your order arrives if you want a head start.

Will it actually hold up outside year-round?

Yes. Apply a water-based preservative every two years. Re-tighten the bolts occasionally. That's it. Backed by a 2-year warranty. If it fails, we fix it.

Why is this more expensive than Home Depot or Wayfair?

The wood, the fixings, and how it's made. Solid Northern European pine, stainless steel hardware, built the same way since 1992. You're not paying for a brand markup. You're buying a chair you won't replace in three years.

Is solid pine actually better than polywood?

Depends what you care about. Polywood needs less maintenance. But solid pine is warmer to the touch, refinishable, fully biodegradable, and gains character as it ages. Polywood stays the same. Plastic fades and yellows. Pine improves.
