F.A.Q.

Here are the questions we hear the most, along with their responses.

About our products

How difficult is it to assemble your greenhouses?

Our greenhouses are designed for easy assembly, with detailed instructions and user-friendly features.

Most models require basic tools and can be assembled by two people within a day or two, depending on the size and complexity. Assembly instructions are included in the packaging as well as on product pages and in your email.

Do you offer customization options for your greenhouses?

We offer customization options to tailor your greenhouse to specific needs, including air vents, greenhouse shelves, planting tables, raised beds, raised gardening bed kits, and additional doors for your greenhouse. Our modular design also allows for length extensions if you need more growing space in the future.

What can be used as a base for the Greenhouse?

Concrete pad: Durable, stable, and long-lasting, ideal for heavy greenhouses. However, it's expensive and time-consuming to install.

Paving stones or slabs: Cost-effective and easy to install, but less durable than concrete. May not be as level or as resistant to moisture.

Wooden base: Affordable and customizable, but requires regular maintenance to prevent rot. Can be less stable than other options.

Steel base: Extremely durable and long-lasting, but also expensive and heavy. Installation can be challenging.

Plastic base: Lightweight and easy to transport, but not as durable as other options. May warp or crack over time.

Direct planting in soil: Free and natural-looking, but may not be as stable and may require additional reinforcement. Also more susceptible to pests and diseases.

What size greenhouse do I need for my garden?

The ideal size depends on various factors such as the available space, the number of plants you intend to grow, and your gardening goals.

Our range includes sizes to suit various needs, from compact options to larger structures accommodating diverse plant collections.

Is the greenhouse durable against hailstorm?!

Our polycarbonate panels are virtually unbreakable and withstand hailstones up to baseball size without damage. The panels flex slightly on impact instead of breaking, making them ideal for areas prone to hailstorms. Our glass greenhouse models feature tempered safety glass that's 7x stronger than regular glass, providing excellent protection against typical hail conditions.

How do the greenhouses withstand snow?

<!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Our greenhouses are engineered to handle snow loads up to 3 feet (32 psf) thanks to their reinforced frame design and durable materials. The arched or peaked roof structure helps snow slide off rather than accumulate. As with any greenhouse, periodic snow removal from the roof is recommended during extreme conditions to maintain structural integrity.

How do you anchor the greenhouses?

The greenhouse kit is designed to be anchored into the soil, 13.5 - 16in deep. Each extension has a T-shaped part at the bottom of it on both sides.

Do you offer air vents for all the greenhouse models?

Yes, once you order an air vent for a specific model, you will be sent an air vent which is for that model.

What is the difference between a manual vent an automatic vent?

Manual vents require physical adjustment by a person. This includes opening and closing the vents based on the need for temperature control within the greenhouse. The automatic air vent works without electricity. There is a solenoid valve which at certain temperature opens up the additional vent. And vice versa, once the temperature drops, the vent closes.

What are the additional doors for?

The standard package includes a door in front of the greenhouse, which is two-part, you can keep the bottom either closed and the window open, completely open or closed. At the back of the greenhouse there is only a window and ordering additional doors makes it so you can turn it into a two-part door.

Which is better: polycarbonate or glass greenhouse?

The "better" option depends entirely on your specific needs and priorities.

Polycarbonate greenhouses offer superior insulation, virtually unbreakable durability, and more consistent growing conditions with diffused light, making them ideal for practical growing and extreme weather regions.

Glass greenhouses provide maximum light transmission, classic aesthetics, and exceptional longevity, making them perfect for showcasing prized plants and creating multi-purpose garden spaces.

We've created a comprehensive comparison page that breaks down the strengths of each type based on climate conditions, plant varieties, and practical considerations. Visit our Polycarbonate vs. Glass Comparison Page

How do your greenhouses compare to competitors?

Our greenhouses stand apart from competitors in several key areas:

Superior Construction - We use 1/4 inch twin-wall polycarbonate (vs. competitors' standard 5/32 inch) and 3 inch galvanized steel frames that are nearly twice the thickness of typical aluminum frames. This translates to significantly higher wind resistance (65 mph vs. industry average 45 mph) and snow load capacity (32 psf vs. typical 15-18 psf).

Longer Warranty - Our 10-year frame warranty and 5-year panel warranty exceeds the industry standard of 1-2 years, reflecting our confidence in our materials and craftsmanship.

Complete Package - Unlike competitors who sell "base models" requiring expensive add-ons, our greenhouses include essential accessories like automatic air vents, raised beds, and roof supports as standard features or free gifts.

Proven Performance - Our designs have been tested in extreme climates from Alaska to Arizona, with documented testimonials of resilience in conditions that damage or destroy competing models.

Better Value - While not the cheapest option initially, our total cost of ownership over 10 years is typically 30-40% lower than budget alternatives when accounting for replacements, repairs, and energy efficiency.
