Shipping & Delivery
White semi truck with a freight trailer driving past a field

We know waiting for your greenhouse isn’t easy. Each Nordwood is made in Europe and shipped across the ocean. It’s too large for regular parcel delivery, so it comes to you on a freight truck. We’ll email you updates along the way.

What to know about delivery

  • Carefully crated. Your greenhouse travels in sturdy wooden crates, packed so the wood and glass arrive safely. For example, a 206 sq ft greenhouse ships as one package about 9½ ft long, 3½ ft wide and just under 3 ft tall, weighing around 2,400 lbs.
  • Lead time & fulfillment. Orders take 3–5 business days to prepare before they ship. Because each kit is precision-milled and shipped via dedicated ocean and domestic freight lanes, typical fulfillment runs 8–15 weeks.
  • Coordinated delivery appointment. Our freight carrier calls you 48–72 hours in advance to schedule a firm delivery date and confirm the truck has clearance to reach you. Sometimes a full-size truck can’t get in. In that case, we’ll arrange pickup at a nearby freight terminal instead (see the note below).

Site Access Note: This is curbside delivery, performed by a full-size freight truck with a hydraulic liftgate. A level, paved or hard-packed surface is required. The truck also needs clear access to your address, and some rural roads and narrow driveways may not fit. If the truck can’t safely reach your location, we’ll arrange pickup at the nearest freight terminal, usually within 20 miles of you, and confirm the details with you first. At the terminal, you can unpack the crates and take the panels home in a smaller truck, or hire local help.

Shipping just got faster. We build and ship faster now, so every window below is shorter than last season. Same prices. For a limited time, on this production run only.

Shipping to Hawaii or Alaska? Please reach out to support.

Please note: delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Pre-orders are built in batches in Europe, so production, ocean freight, ports, and customs can shift the timeline. If your estimate changes, we’ll email you.

How pre-orders work: we build your greenhouse at our own factory in Europe and ship it straight to the US. Shipping direct from the factory keeps our costs low, and we pass those savings on to you. The trade-off is time. From our factory to you usually takes 8–15 weeks in total, including the trip across the ocean to our warehouses in Florida, Texas, or New Jersey. You’ll get one tracking email when your order leaves the factory and another when the local carrier picks it up.

Changed your mind? Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund. See the Pre-order Policy for details.

Absolutely love this greenhouse

The quality exceeded my expectations and the whole experience has been amazing from start to finish. It feels incredibly sturdy, thoughtfully designed, and looks beautiful in the garden. What really stood out was the attention to detail and how much light and warmth the greenhouse holds while still ventilating well. If you’re on the fence, just do it. It completely transformed our outdoor space and honestly became one of our favorite places to spend time as a family. Highly recommend!

Built it solo at 68

Shipped on time in good shape. Easy to construct even at 68. All I expected and more. Year round garden is now possible. I have added a rubber edge guard on the braces. After the first planting and moving plants in from my basement grow room, even more impressed.

It's Not Just a Greenhouse. It's a Lifestyle

It became the family's lifestyle house: mywife's morning coffee, aunt's own growing space, card games and wine nights with the neighbors. Then Illinois had its worst run of storms I've ever seen. The hail broke windows on the cars; the glass house came through without any damage.

Affordable and durable

The kit took a little longer to get but it was worth the wait. I put it together by myself which was challenging, but once I had the first two sections together it went fairly quickly. We live in a cold and windy area and the greenhouse held up well the first year. The plants grew much larger than I expected.

Cucumbers and tomatoes went crazy

We built it with our grandkids most of the time, so it took us six weeks to complete. The plants that were started and put inside went crazy. They loved the atmosphere and produced huge amounts of cucumbers and tomatoes. Bruno's always available to answer questions.

A Nordwood is a different category. Instead of thin aluminium and plastic that fades and flexes, you get solid natural wood and toughened safety glass that look beautiful and last 20+ years. It is bought once and lived with for decades, as a growing space and a garden room in one.

Everything needed to build the greenhouse: the pre-cut natural wood frame, all toughened safety glass panels, double hinged doors, 4 roof windows (manual, opened by hand), ridge and base fixings, and the step-by-step assembly manual. Plan on two people for the build, as the glass panels are a two-person job. Not included: the upgrades sold on this page (automatic window openers, deeper wood treatment, premium door hardware) and the foundation. The full parts list is in Specifications.

None of the upgrades are included, so decide before you order. The automatic window openers fit the 4 roof windows and open them on their own when it gets warm, with no power needed; they are the upgrade most owners add. Deeper wood treatment and premium door hardware are worth it if you want the frame and doors looking and working like new for longer. The Premium Package bundles all three for less than buying them separately. Add them on this page so they ship together with your greenhouse and fit its frame; if you decide later, get in touch and we will sort it out.

Yes, and most owners do. Every part arrives pre-cut and labelled, the manual takes you panel by panel, and only basic tools are needed. Plan on two people and a few days: glass is a two-person job, and do not set it in wind. We do not offer installation ourselves; many owners bring in a friend or a local handyman for the build. The manual is in Assembly.

Every Nordwood is built to order. Standard delivery is free and currently 11–15 weeks; Priority brings it down to 8–10 weeks for a fee. Orders ship fully insured to your door across the continental US, with a tracking email when it leaves the factory and another from the last-mile carrier. Current windows, estimated dates and prices are in Shipping & Delivery.

A concrete pad, a deck, or a paved surface. The frame fixes down with screws and needs no ground anchors. Get the base flat and level before anything goes up; it decides whether the doors still close properly in ten years. The foundation is not included.

Most locations do not require one for a structure of this size, but rules vary street by street, so check with your HOA or local authority before you order rather than after. Take the footprint with you: this model covers 148 sq ft.

Very little. The timber arrives treated; a coat of wood oil once a year keeps it rich and protected. The toughened glass wipes clean and will not yellow or cloud like plastic. Looked after simply, a Nordwood keeps its looks for a generation.

A 5-year limited warranty on the wood frame and the glass panels against structural defects under normal use, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee. Register within 30 days of delivery to activate full cover. Details in Warranty.
